Accommodation Letter Module Info

You can review our Step-by-Step Guide to Request Accommodation Letters for more detailed instructions.

Once a request has been submitted, your instructor will receive an email notifying them of your accommodations; you will be copied on this email. You should then contact your instructors to set up a time to discuss implementing your accommodations.

Law Students: You will follow the above process, but your accommodation letters will be released to Jamie Coughlin. You will need to email Jamie Coughlin and Katie Peele, Student Affairs Administrative Associate, to discuss accommodations. Instructors will not receive copies of your accommodation letters.

Graduate, Medical, Pharmacy, and Nursing students: Please see the Miscellaneous Accommodation Letter Request section below.

To request an accommodation letter for incomplete courses, please see the Incomplete Courses section below.

NOTE: Disability and Access can only provide accommodation letters for the current semester.

UNIVERSITY EXTENSION (UEX) COURSES: Follow the process outlined on the Online Learning page of the D&A website.

PLACEMENT EXAMS: Follow the process outlined on the Placement Exams page of the D&A website.

I don’t see my class(es)?

It can take 3-5 business days for all of your courses to show in the portal. Please reach out to your Access Coordinator if it’s been over 5 business days. Reasons why your courses may not be in the portal:

·      You haven’t confirmed your enrollment. This may mean you have yet to pay your tuition bill or you need to speak with your academic advisor regarding other issues.

·      You switched or added a class recently. Our system is unable to automatically sync updates to your course schedule, so it may take a few days for the updated course to show up in the portal.

·      If your request is shown as “Pending,” this likely means an instructor hasn’t been assigned to the course in the UT Course Schedule. We are working to update course instructors as the information becomes available so you have access to your accommodation letter.

If you see messaging that your accommodations have expired, you should contact your Access Coordinator to check on your current status with D&A.
